It’s been a while since we’ve released a new game. In case you don’t know me personally, my wife and I welcomed our second daughter into the world in April. Needless to say, the last 6 months have been pretty crazy around the house. But now we’re back, let the apps flow!
Our latest game is called Zoo Memory Match. It’s is a traditional card memory game but enjoyable by kids of all ages. My oldest daughter is almost 3 now and is old enough to really enjoy memory matching card games. I wanted to make a game that she could have enjoyed when she was younger as well.
Zoo Memory Match has two styles of play for any stage of your child’s development. The cards face up version shows either 4, 12 or 20 cards on the screen with pairs of Zoo animals. Tapping on the card plays the sound of the animal, which is fun enough for most younger kids. If they tap a pair of matching animals, the cards disappear. Find all the pairs and you win!
The cards face down version is the more traditional style. same 4, 12 or 20 cards are on the board but they all look the same. Tapping on the card flips it over and plays the sound of the animal you revealed. If you can find the matching animal, they disappear. Much more challenging for kids this way.
Everything is completely random, so you never play the same game twice. We’ve optimized the app to play on the iPhone or iPod Touch as well as the new iPad. It’s also got high resolution graphics to look magical on an iPhone 4 with the Retina display.
Take a look at the video demo below to see all 6 modes of play, I’m sure your kid will love at least one of them. Look for more games from Tantrum Apps in the coming weeks.
